Composite Bonding Disadvantages
To protect your new smile, we recommend for you to consider using a nightguard against potential tooth grinding.
Before -
Our patient wanted a straighter shape of his upper teeth with a more masculine aspect and a bigger smile. Clear aligners was not a wish and since clear aligners don't change the shape of teeth, composite bonding would have still be needed to achieve the wanted look.
........................................................
Summary
Composite bonding offers a less invasive, cost-effective way to transform your smile. If you’re looking for a procedure that allows you to customize the shape and colour of your teeth without significant enamel damage, composite bonding could be the perfect choice.

After -
Our patient after the composite bonding, super happy with the results and a wider, whiter smile with a more masculine look.

Your periodontium is comprised of the tissues holding your teeth stuck in your mouth by surrounding and supporting your teeth.
Your jaw bone and gums are part of the periodontium.
Good oral hygiene & good day-to-day habits will help avoid periodontal infections and reduce their consequences.
For example:
- Tooth sensitivity when brushing the teeth, drinking a cold drink, eating an ice cream
- Receding gums
- Tooth loss
- It will help reduce gingivitis and periodontis which are considered low level chronic infections. A good example of a similar inflammation is bad cholesterol. These types of inflammations are not ideal for your general help and can be easily avoided.
Clear aligners are very subtle and considered to be transparant.
When attachements are needed, their colour will be matched to the colour of your tooth.

In this section, we want to illustrate how Vere Dental approaches your teeth examinations.
We make a difference between new patients- and our regular patients' examinations.
It is important to note that we don’t only check your teeth but your full oral health, including the skin around your mouth, your jaw joints, and your soft tissues.
A new patient examination means that Vere Dental does not have recent records of your orofacial (mouth and face) information.
1. It is your first visit to Vere Dental.
2. Or you have missed your regular check-up and have not been seen by any of our dentists for a check-up in the past 18 months.
We need to take or renew all your records. Vere Dental will do this by taking the following information:
- Clinical photos if needed from your teeth and/or face. This can show cavities, skin issues, and can indicate many more matters that we might want to address or prevent.
- Intraoral X-rays: They will take 2 X-rays called bite wings included in the price of this examination. If extra or different X-rays are needed, your dentist will inform you why they are needed and if any extra costs will be added.
Please inform your dentist when you are pregnant or if there are any other reasons why X-rays cannot be taken.
- The dentist will clinically check your teeth, gums, mouth, front of the throat, jaws, skin, and record any existing, and needed treatments due to possible cavities, infections, potential cracks, or any other possible issue regarding your teeth, mouth, and surroundings of the mouth.
Since we have all your records, we tailor your examination more specifically toward your needs. All the above will still be checked but you might not necessarily need x-rays or in-depth investigation of your skin as that might not be what your health needs.
If x-rays are needed, your dentist will inform you of the reason and the additional cost.
A patient is registered if they have been for an examination in the past 18 months.
During your appointment, we will discuss the results of your examination. If any abnormalities require treatment, you will be given all the options with advice, so you have all the correct information to make the best decision for your health.
A quote will be made and given to you. This quote is called a treatment plan that will have to be signed, so we are sure you understand all the needed procedures and appointments.
When a treatment plan is extensive with multidisciplinary aspects, we will need time to plan, calculate, and measure all the needed treatments.
Further diagnostics might be needed.
Do not worry, your dentist will explain this to you and give you a time frame for when the treatment plan can be ready.
